My 2011 Camaro Show Schedule

Welcome to Spring, 2011! I am glad to be posting here again.  I have some cool things lined up for this year, so be sure to subscribe for updates in the upper right hand corner.

Now that the snow is pretty much gone and the days are getting warmer, I am getting excited to bring the Camaro out of storage soon and get it ready for the upcoming shows.  I have been thinking of the upcoming year and in addition to some new mods, I want to make sure I hit more car shows with it than I did last year. I think anyone with a nice car needs to take it to shows, period. It gives you a good chance to detail your car thoroughly, spend a nice day away from work, make some new friends, and it helps you to continue to take pride in your ride. Plus, you might walk away with a trophy or door prize.

So let’s kick off 2011 with my 2011 car show schedule!

Motor City Detail Day
May 14 –

This is now really a show, but I wanted to mention it here. I am putting together a small private event for a day of car detailing in the Detroit area to kick off the show car season. Space is very limited! If you are interested in attending, just post here!

7th Annual Michigan Fbody Meet & Greet Car Show – Milford, MI
June 4th –

This one is just a great show. It is run by a great group of people that I am glad to call friends. It has grown to be pretty big very quickly but is still very fun. If you live in the Michigan area and have a Camaro OR Firebird, this one should not be missed.

23rd Annual Ontario Nationals/ Camaro Homecoming – GM Oshawa Assembly Plant, Canada
June 10-12 –

This is it my friends, the biggest Camaro gathering in history. In addition to this, the BBOMG happens here, a plant tour and a whole lot more. Doesn’t matter where you live, you don’t want to miss out on history in the making. Make sure you have your passport!

20th Annual CAMARO SUPERFEST 2011 – Ypsilanti, MI
July 1-3 –

I have been attending this show since 1996, and I won’t miss it. This is the largest and friendliest All-Camaro show in the United States! I have taken many first place wins here, so if you plan to go up against me, be sure to being your big guns! 🙂

17th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise
August 20 –

This needs no introduction. Everyone needs to attend this massive cruise at least once in their life. I plan to be there, because it is simply not to be missed. I am usually found hanging out with the Street Lethal Performance club during this one. Even though the official cruise date is August 20, people can be seen out regularly cruising a week early or sooner.

Berger Chevrolet All Chevy Show – Berger Chevrolet, Grand Rapids, MI
August 27th –

I am ashamed to say that I have never attended this one. Every time I plan to, something comes up and I have to miss out. I really hope to make it this year, since I have heard nothing but great things about it from many Camaro friends.

18th Annual Camaro Fall Classic – Summit Racing, Tallmadge, OH
Sept 10-11 –

Put on by the Northeast Ohio Camaro Club, this is a top-notch show run by an excellent staff. The location is absolutely the best for a car show as the Summit Racing facility is unbelievably huge and there’s plenty of room for participants. For spectators, it is laid out in a way that allows you to see everything with a single lap around the show area.

Other Various Events/Cruises/Shows
One of the great things about living in the Motor City is that there’s always a car show or a cruise! I plan to be at the following:

June 18 – Cruisin’ Gratiot – Eastpointe, MI –
August 7 – Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise –
Plus a ton more car shows in the Metro Detroit area! If you go to them, you will probably see me there!

The above list is what I hope to make. Will you be at one? Is there something I need to be made aware of? Let me know.  If you have an event that you want to get the word out about, try the following:

Regardless, get your car shined up and out to a show this year!
